Vintage Dollhouse Miniature Artisan REAL Ostrich Egg w 1:48 Nursery Scene Inside One-of-a-kind, Hand Crafted We have just started listing from the new boxes that just arrived from the Madame Y Collection of Kanagawa, Japan! The madame is known for her eclectic taste in miniatures and she traveled to shows around the world to find all of the little treasures we are sharing with you. This is a fanciful display for your miniature collection: a whimsical, ornately decorated REAL ostrich egg with two doors that open to real a tiny, cozy 1:48 scale nursery inside complete with a crying baby in her crib, a rocking horse, various toys, a puppy dog, a laundry basket, play pen, chair, framed photos on the walls and more! The stand to hold the egg is also included. This piece is a unique, artisan handmade piece but the artisan is unknown as it is unsigned. The egg itself is finished entirely, inside and out. Truly a sight to behold! Measurements:1:48 scale, Ostrich egg: 4 1/4″ tall THIS MINIATURE HAS TRAVELED THOUSANDS OF MILES JUST TO BE HERE…READ THE STORY. *This fabulous miniature belonged to, Madame ‘Y’, who lives in Kanagawa, Japan. For many years I have enjoyed a friendship with Madam Y. Her love of miniatures and her vast knowledge of artisans was something that we enjoyed talking about. Over the years I watched in awe as her collection continuously grew, she even had to expand her beautiful home on the sea just to house her collection of some of the finest miniatures in the world. When she decided to sell her collection, she contacted me so that I could tell her story and the story of each piece she has acquired, over all these years. Her hope is to find a home and share the story of every single piece. We have just begun to receive the boxes, all wrapped so well as they were all very special to her. She wanted others to know these incredible artisans, many she has met in person, from countries all over the globe and it is her hope that you will get to know them too, as we list them one by one.
